Scott Offer is executive vice president and general counsel at Flex, the manufacturing partner of choice that helps a diverse customer base design and build products to improve the world.
Mr. Offer leads the company’s legal function, including government relations, corporate governance, brand protection and security, intellectual property, contracts, litigation, ethics and compliance. He is also responsible for the company’s marketing, communications, and sustainability organization.
Prior to joining Flex in 2016, Mr. Offer served as senior vice president and general counsel at Lenovo, where he was responsible for the company's overall legal strategy, negotiated strategic deals, managed the global intellectual property and litigation portfolios, and maintained legal compliance.
Before Lenovo, he served as senior vice president and chief counsel for Motorola Mobility, a Google company, and prior to that, Motorola, where he spearheaded numerous strategic global initiatives, including taking Motorola Mobility public in 2011.
Mr. Offer has extensive experience leading legal efforts around mergers and acquisitions, including the acquisitions of Motorola Mobility by Google and Lenovo, and driving strategy across a wide range of intellectual property and regulatory issues globally. Before joining Motorola, he worked for law firm Boodle Hatfield.
Mr. Offer holds a law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is qualified as a lawyer in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
